Sana was a very good mother, and the Sana-Ben pups were all healthy, happy, friendly, lively pups with bags of personality and attitude. I MAY do a repeat of the Sana x Ben mating in August 2017 IF I have enough people on my puppy list DEFINITELY wanting a puppy.
If you are interested in a pup from this litter please contact me.
Why/when do we breed?
We are not big time breeders. We only breed to 'replace' one of our own dogs when they pass on, and/or when folk who already own one of our pups need a new dog. If there are any extras, we acquire additional (human) members of the slowly growing Capehope family.
We breed BCs who
- Make us laugh
- Have easy-going non-aggressive non-neurotic temperaments who are easy to live with (re other dogs and people)
- Are soft natured and biddable (ie there is no need to fight with them for alpha status)
- Are athletic, put together right, and capable of putting in a full day's work, several days in succession, without packing up (e.g. I used to hill-walk a lot and the dogs would run for miles behind my bike, then walk for 8 hours, and then run back again to the start, and they could do this for several days on the trot)
- Are clever, quick to learn, and slow to forget
- Have the right attitude to work (they want to work, and want to please, they always put in 110% and will keep working till I say enough)
- Have a good 'off switch' (are happy to lie around the house snoozing in front of the AGA when not working: proviso, they must have had their daily walk first!)
- Are handsome/pretty and rough coated (but who would never win a UK Breed class because they don't look like the heavy coated, long backed, short legged NZ/Australian/European types that are currently favored by the Breed fraternity)
