About Didi
Didi is an exceptionally talented agility dog, and has competed successfully in the sport at UK Championship and international level for the last 4 years. She is the 4th generation of a line of Advanced (Grade 7) agility dogs, 2 generations of which we have bred (Her grandmother Careless Whisper won the FCI World Agility Championships in 2003).
As with any 'working mum', she has had to juggle procreation with her busy work (ie competition) schedule.
Didi and her owner Toni competed successfully until 2011, then Toni suffered a disabling ankle injury. Didi had just turned 5 and was just coming into her prime. Toni was no longer able to offer her the human piloting she deserved and needed to progress further with her natural talent. so she asked an up-and-coming young handler, Jennifer Hart, if she'd be interested in competing with Didi. Jen jumped at the opportunity. Jen and Didi fell in love with each other and rapidly forged a formidable partnership that achieved great things including the KC International Junior Championship (2013) and the Open Junior Agility Championship (2014), and qualifying for all the showcase finals in Scotland.
Jen says "Didi's cheeky attitude makes her one of the funniest little dogs. Such a huge personality in such little dog. She is "Bomb proof" ... everything thrown in her way and she gets on with the job - been here before ... many times I think. Such power and determination, week in week out she puts in some of the best times in Scotland. A fast learner and keen to please she has been a joy to live with and work. A dog in a million."
Didi has a brilliant off switch. In the house she is happy to chill and does not like any arguments - be it between humans or dogs. However she is at her happiest when working.
